The Persometrics Extended Stress Hormone Profile gives you a fully personalised extensive stress hormone profile based on in-depth hormone analysis including cortisol and DHEA-S (Dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate). The report contains early predictors of burnout and other stress-related illnesses, in addition to circadian secretion showing your daily pattern of the activation of the HPA-axis. Includes full interpretation of your data and personalised lifestyle advice for people with your given psycho-endocrinological profile. The Persometrics Extended stress hormone profile adds to the original Stress Hormone Profile. This profile is based on analysis of two different hormones on five samples of saliva that you yourself will obtain in your home or at a place of your choosing (6 saliva samplings; 6 laboratory analyses). You will receive your results on all samples as well as scientifically validated indexes (the Awakening Response and Circadian Profile, slope and total secretion for cortisol and Alpha-Amylase, as well as Cortisol over DHEA-S ratios), interpreted in relation to normative data, and a full report which tells you if you are at risk of stress-related illnesses such as burnout and early aging. This report can also show abnormally high cortisol values during the day. The report further includes personalised lifestyle advice to let you take actions to avoid such illnesses, such as what time of day is recommended for people with your adrenal profile to do exercise and what dietary modifications to perform if any. Beware that any such changes must be discussed with a health care practitioner before undertaken. We recommend retaking this test after six months of undertaking any therapy you may be following (such as lifestyle changes or wellness treatment) to assess progress, or to see whether daytime stress has been lowered.

  3. Individual testosterone test
    CHF79.00
This test measures the free (protein unbound) component of total testosterone through a single saliva sample. Testosterone is a male sex hormone, which is used to evaluate the androgynous state of men and to diagnose polycystic ovary syndrome and breast cancer in women. It is responsible for bone and muscle strength, as well as mood, energy, and sexual function. It also has an influence on muscle mass, physical strength and bone density. Persometrics does not offer advice or medical diagnostics. Rather, the outcome of this test could be useful for you to discuss further with your medical doctor. Note: We aim to ship your testkit within one working day. However, since the bioavailable component of Testosterone is requires a complex method to analyze correctly, saliva samples are forwarded to a larger laboratory for analysis (the Risch laboratory of Bern). For this reason, please allow for an 8 working days delay before achieving your results (after our laboratory receives your samples). We apologize for this long waiting time, but our main priority is product quality and scientific excellence.

DHEA (Dehydroepiandrosterone) is sometimes dubbed the anti-aging hormone. It is an anabolic compound that can buffer the negative effects of cortisol on several bodily functions and illnesses and can protect against burnout, Alzheimer's, and migraines. More Info

Find the right time of day for your training and exercise
This product includes four sampling vials to measure your anabolic/catabolic hormone ratio (Testosterone/Cortisol) across the day (total hormone analyses: eight). The aim is to identify a solution optimal for you to identify your optimal time of day for your workout.Learn more.
  6. Optimal workout session
    CHF259.00
The testosterone to cortisol (T/C) ratio is used to assess physiological strain and recovery after exercise. As testosterone is an anabolic hormone and cortisol a catabolic hormone, this ratio is often referred to as the anabolic ratio, and measurement is pivotal for endocrine homeostasis during acute and chronic exercise. Indeed, it has been proposed to be linked to overtraining. Recent research also shows that this ratio is of importance to female athletes. This test involves performing four saliva samples surrounding a work-out session (immediately before, immediately after, 1 hour after and finally 12 hours after a session). From your four samples, we extract both cortisol and testosterone, yielding a total of eight analyses. Benchmarking your levels before exercise, this test is above all to be used for intra-individual analysis. The reference range for overall testosterone and cortisol are provided, and your T/C parameter will be placed in relation to published literature using this ratio.
  7. Individual Cortisol test
    CHF79.00
This test measures the bioavailable component of total cortisol through a saliva sample. Cortisol is known as the stress hormone. When we are confronted with a threat, cortisol targets the central nervous system, the metabolic system, the immune system and the cardiovascular system, with the aim of releasing energy to allow us to deal with the stressor and not waste precious resources elsewhere.
