Feeling stressed or fatigued? Find your path to improved mental and physical well-being through adrenal stress biomarker testing. More Info
The Persometrics Stress Hormone Profile gives you a full personalised report based on both behavioural and biomarker analysis. The assessment of the stress hormone cortisol in conjunction with your questionnaire data gives early predictors of burnout and other stress-related illnesses. The profile includes full interpretation of your data and personalized lifestyle information.
Persometrics Stress Hormone Profile is based on samples of saliva that you obtain in your own home (five saliva samples; five laboratory analyses in total). You will receive your easy-to-understand results showing your total secretion, your diurnal/circadian cortisol pattern, as well as two scientifically validated indexes: the so-called Cortisol Awakening Response (CAR) and the Cortisol Slope. This will all come in a complete report which tells you if you are at risk of stress-related illnesses such as burnout. The report further includes personalized life-style choices and actions likely to be effective for people with your profile according to the latest scientific research.
Consider retaking this test every four to six months to check the progress of any therapy you may be following (such as lifestyle changes or wellness treatment).
For optimal results, the Persometrics Stress Hormone Profile is based on both biomarker and behavioural data: in addition to the hormone sampling, you will complete questionnaires through a secure, online platform. The questionnaires can be completed in English, Spanish, French, Norwegian, or German. This can be chosen during the completion process. However, please note that the report is currently only offered in English.
Easily obtain a measure of cortisol, the stress hormone, through a saliva sample. More Info
This test measures the salivary cortisol, a bioavailable component of total cortisol, through a saliva sample. Cortisol is known as the stress hormone. When we are confronted with a threat, cortisol targets the central nervous system, the metabolic system, the immune system and the cardiovascular system, with the aim of releasing energy to allow us to deal with the stressor and not waste precious resources elsewhere. Cortisol fights inflammation during stress. As such, it is in and of itself a helpful hormone for the body to secrete. However, too much cortisol, or for too long periods without time to recover, cortisol can in fact lead to inflammation, weight gain, several autoimmune illnesses, and "adrenal fatigue".

This test measures the bioavailable component of total testosterone through a single saliva sample. Testosterone is a male sex hormone, which is used to evaluate the androgynous state of men and to diagnose polycystic ovary syndrome and breast cancer in women. It is responsible for bone and muscle strength, as well as mood, energy, and sexual function. It also has an influence on muscle mass, physical strength, and bone density. Persometrics does not offer advice or medical diagnostics. Rather, the outcome of this test could be useful for you to discuss further with your medical doctor.
A test of adrenal deficiency was developed in 2000 by Morley and colleagues at St. Louis School of Medicine and has since been used in some 100 studies. The sensitivity of this test has been found to be 97% (specificity was 30%) for the detection of hypogonadism in a validation study from 2004. We therefore offer this adrenal deficiency test for free on our website.
Note: We aim to ship your testkit within three work days. However, since the bioavailable component of Testosterone requires a complex method to analyze correctly, saliva samples are forwarded to a larger laboratory for analysis. For this reason, please allow for 15 working days before achieving your results (after our laboratory receives your samples). We apologize for this long waiting time, but our main priority is product quality and scientific excellence.
Ever wondered why there are so many conflicting expert opinions regarding the ultimate weight-loss diet? Perhaps it is because a universal diet doesn't exist but that it is down to your genetic constitution. Nutrient intake and physical activity are essential factors affecting body weight, body composition, energy metabolism, and energy utilization. However, not everyone responds to the same exercise and diet regimes n the same way. Indeed, a large part of our ability to gain or lose weight is down to our genes, which are involved in the susceptibility to gaining or losing weight in response to a given diet, to appetite, lipid over-absorption, and more.
